First-
I don’t understand the concept of claiming that you are going to involve the fan base in choosing the goal song and then proceed to announce that the final three selections are up for a vote. Yes, you asked us for our opinions, and trust me when I say i did my due diligence and verified that not a single person any public forum suggested any of these options. This is by all accounts disrespectful and a betrayal of our trust. Yes, there is a final three vote but with a caveat that the players have final decision. At this point not only as fan but as a writer it would almost feel better if you just selected a song rather than going through this whole process with the facade that we were choosing it.
Second-
With that out of the way we now need to discuss the glaring issues coming out of camp. PK PK PK PK PK……. The penalty killing was horrendous all preseason and there is not a single thing that I can say that looks good about it. It needs work and lots of it. Today at Voorhees AV and company were running numerous drills and practice scenarios to work on the issues, but it can go without being said that without a solid PK this team will not be challenging for the cup much less even in the playoffs.
Glaring issue number 2 is the lack of anyone stepping up to take the 2C position with solid performance. Yes, Kevin Hayes is only out for 9-10 games, but the lack of production from Frost in preseason was not a good sign as he will be starting the year with the Phantoms. This now requires that either Derrick Brassard or Scott Laughton will be Playing that 2C spot. The only other option for the Flyers is a complete shuffle of the top six which would have Claude Giroux play that second line center position. Honestly as much as I don’t like seeing G play the centre position anymore for career longevity purposes, I would prefer it for at least these first 10 games.
Third-
My Possible line projections and possibilities to expect for Fridays opening night of the regular season as well as the home opener. So first is the Defensive pairings which I think is solidified going forward.

Or hear me out here the Flyers sent Frost down just to knock the rust off in some AHL play and he could very well be back up on opening night and we all just over reacted to Frost’s reasignment to the Phantoms.
