1st Round Pick Tyson Foerster

Foerster is a RW from the Barrie Colts out of the OHL. Foerster is your typical shoot first sniper on the wing. He excels at finding the back of the net with ease. He tallied 80 PTS this year with 36 goals and 44 assists in 62 games played. The only detractors from those points is that the majority of his games were against teams under .500. Foerster is deadly on the power play with tallying 18 goals on the power play. Unfortunately though with an elite offensive game comes your typical issues such as his skating and the defensive side of his game. He has an elite eye to find his teammates inside the offensive side of game, but he struggles with entering the offensive zone.
Upsides
- Best wrist shot in the draft
- Good hockey IQ in the offensive zone
- Strong power play winger
Areas of improvement
- Skating ability
- Zone entry’s/ carry in ability
- 200 foot game
My prediction for his eventual potential will be somewhere in the middle 6 with very good powerplay upside.
